The Regional Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Committee (RITECC) XI
RITECC XI FUNCTIONS
RITECC XI has the following functions as agreed during its meeting on 12 May 2005:
1. Formulate, in coordination with concerned agencies and the private sector, the Regional Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Plan;
2. Formulate a regional program and strategy for the promotion of e-commerce in the region;
3. Harmonize and coordinate all IT public initiatives, programs, and projects in the region to ensure their consistency with the goals of the National IT Plan;
4. Promote strategic partnership and alliances among local ICT firms and institutions, research and development, education and training institutions, technology providers, developers and manufacturers, to speed up industry growth; and
5. Create and maintain a regional database on ICT as part of the regional statistical system.
