Message from the Chairperson
The Regional Development Council XI was created in recognition of local and regional officials and private sector representatives’ position to create policies and programs that will best serve the region.
As the highest policy-making body in the Davao Region, the Council facilitates regional development through the creation of investment programs and development plans, the judicious appropriation of resources, direction setting and the coordination of the economic and social development efforts of local government units, agency regional offices, state universities and colleges and special development authorities in the region. We make sure that the region’s thrusts are in line with the national development agenda and with the objectives and priorities of each province in Region XI.
The members of the Council work as one to maximize opportunities and address the many challenges facing the Davao Region, specifically through programs enhancing social development, increasing jobs creation, improving infrastructure and sustainable environmental management and promoting good governance.
RDC XI believes that the socio-economic growth of the region depends upon us, the people of Region XI, and we are committed to steering the Davao Region towards a more equitable and sustainable future.
